Eagles Drive

I recently bought a house...with my girlfriend of 2 years. It is something that we have been considering for a while so we took the plunge while the interest rates were on our side. Our new investment has brought many new ideas and projects for us that we will not have the time or money to do all right now, but it has made my mind start wandering in all directions. It makes me think beyond the house and beyond these projects and chores.

I been a lot of places and done a lot of things. I have had more titles than a lot of women my age. I have enjoyed each experience and would not want to change a thing (on most days.) I have had friends from all walks of life. I have loved and lost and broken many hearts along the way.

I figured that this new house would be a good time to start some of these ideas and feelings. A new house is like a new child in that you get to start over with something new to care for. Ok..with that analogy, you know that I am not a mother. But I have had over 10 children vicariously thru friends over the past 12 years and I would like to think that I know a little. I do not claim to know everything, but I am not flying blind on this one!
Here's my toast on this blog, after all, how can you be a Riesling Girl without a Toast?: Here is to our new house and everyone that helped us get it together and bless our mess!
