Hunter-isms

I was thinking the other day of all the cute things that Hunter says and does and I knew that i would not remember them.  I can not even remember what I wore to work yesterday.  So with that in mind I have decided to see if I can remember all the things that I do not want to forget 20 years from now.  He has only been talking for about a year so it should not be that hard.  With that being said, I will enlist help from family and friends to make sure that i have not left any out.

1. When Hunter first started talking  the main ones that need not be forgotten was the way that he said Horse and Socks.  They came outs sounding like whores and cocks.  Aww it melts my heart :)
2. Since then he has said a lot of things that are too cute and these are in no order.  Instead of saying "What are you doing?" he says "What you do?"
3. Since it is currently summertime, Hunter likes to go fwimming instead of swimming.
4. His "everybody" sounds like a rap video lyric with "erbody!"
5. He has now corrected this pronunciation of bicycle but it used to be bihycle :)
6. Instead of saying "There it is", it is "dere it is"
 

That is all that I can think of right now.  I will post more at a later time and note the date with the update.

7. Gatorade is now pronounced "Atergade" - spring 2013

In addition to mis-pronunciations there are a few sentences that he says now that are too cute:

1. " Are you thinking what I am thinking?" - November 2013
2. "I don't think that is such a good idea!"  - February 2014

They're Back (in creepy Poltergeist Carol Ann voice)

So I did not stay on the wagon for blogging or weight loss.  It has not been as long as my last gap though.  So I am making strides to be more current.  I will have to give a quick run down to get us current from October 2012 until now.  The main reason that I wanted to get back to blogging was to make a list of all the funny things that Hunter says and does that I know that we will not remember.  I will make that a separate post as I need to catch up first.  Ok...here goes the highlights:

1. 10/19/2012 - Ells last day at PHS.  She started at new Job at Vision Consulting where she works from home on 10/22/2012.  The company is based out of Nashville so she has to travel there once a month from Mon-Thurs.  She had to go for 2 weeks in a row when she was training. 
2. 11/8/2012 - We transferred 2 embryos as we are ready to have another baby.
3. 11/19/2012 - Went to Dr Bates office to have blood drawn to see if the embryos took.  He called back at 1:30 to tell us that we were PREGNANT!!!  The number was 124!!!!  We are due on July 27th.
4. 01/24-1/27/2013 Went to Gatlinburg with Juli and Sherry on our Sampler timeshare points and ended up buying a timeshare!!!  It was prolly not the smartest thing with 2 news jobs and baby #2 on the way but I guess that you cant take it with you :)
5. 03/10-3/12/13 - Mom, Hunty and I went to Nashville with Ell for my birthday.  
6. 03/17-3/21 - Gordonsville, VA with the fam.  We had to buy an additional timeshare in order to get the locked in rates.  We were not too happy about that.
7. 03/31/2013 - Hunter's 2nd birthday.  We had his party on 04/06/13 with an Elmo theme.  It was at our house and we served bbq and had a bouncy.
 

I think that makes us current with the big highlights.  Now onto the Hunterisms!!!

 

Punkin Patch 2012 and Owen's 3rd Bday

We did the annual Pumpkin patch in Clanton with our besties Heidi and Lacey this year on 10/14/12.  We has Owen's 3rd Birthday party that day at 2 so we went a little early and had to hustle :)  We have been doing this tradition for 5 or 6 years now.  Lacey would know the exact count.  We had fun getting pictures and seeing the landscapes of the pumpkins, sunflowers, bales of hay, oh and cleaning up Hunter's scraped knee :(  Here are some pictures of the day.

Anniversary Trip 10/4/12-10/6/12

We went to the Mountains on our anniversary this year.  We stayed in Pigeon Forge.  We ate lots of good food and did a little bit of shopping.  We ate at 2 new places that were new to us.  Mama's Kitchen on the first night and Big Daddy's Brick Oven Pizzeria on the 2nd night.  We tried to shop for boots at about 4 different shops but could not find the right pair.  It was a short trip but it was nice to get away and unwind a bit.  Juli and Sherry kept Hunter for us :)  Here are a few pics from the Trip.

Montgomery Zoo

We took the kids to the Montgomery Zoo.  It had been about 5 years since we had been with Heidi and Lacey.  We had fun watching the kids reactions to all the animals.  At times I think that they had more fun chasing each other and pushing the stroller!

April Fool's Wedding!

So this weekend was not only packed with Hunter's First Birthday but we also went to a wedding in Selma on Sunday on the river. It was Mandy's brother Jimbo that got married at Duck's house. We went down on Saturday night after the birthday party and hung out at Mandy's house. The wedding was beautiful. It was a little hot but the breeze on the river and the shade made it bearable. We did not get a pic of the couple or the food but I can steal some of facebook when they get posted later :) Here a couple pics of us where the ceremony took place:

Happy First Birthday Hunter!!!!

I can not believe that it has been a year since Hunter was born. We celebrated today with friends and family with good food and good times! Ell made a slideshow with the best pictures and music. One of the songs was sang by a friend of ours so that made it even more special. Maybe I can figure out how to put a part of the slideshow on this blog at some point. It was almost 30 minutes long so I don't think that I can use the whole thing. I made too much food (as usual) and the cakes were beautiful. Here are a few pics of the day:

Here is my toast: Happy Birthday to my sweet boy. You have brought so many smiles to my face over the first year of your life and I can not wait to see what the next year holds!!!
